I Finally Bought My Dream Vintage Porsche 964… It Was a Nightmare

I finally bought the vintage Porsche I had dreamed about since I was a kid, a Porsche 964 Turbo inspired by the car I grew up watching Will Smith drive in Bad Boys. But after finally getting my dream car, the dream slowly started turning into a nightmare. In this episode, I’m taking you through the full story of my 964 Turbo from finding the Satin Black Metallic 3.3 Turbo at a dealership in the Netherlands and importing it to the U.S., to finally getting behind the wheel and taking it through the mountains on the Vintage Vices Targa. That drive was everything I imagined it would be. Driving my childhood dream Porsche through the mountains with my wife was one of those moments that reminded me why I fell in love with cars in the first place.

Then we got home. Fuel pumps, brakes, electrical issues, breakdowns and more than $10,000 in mechanical bills later, the Porsche still refuses to stay on the road. After eventually leaving us stranded on the side of a busy street, the “Bad Boy” has spent more time sitting than driving. So today, we’re giving it another shot.
