I Sold My Dream Porsche… Here’s What I Bought Instead

In the last episode, you watched me say goodbye to my 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring — a car I spent years dreaming about, months obsessing over, and ultimately realized wasn’t the right Porsche for me. But selling the GT3 Touring wasn’t the end of the story. It was only the beginning. With an empty spot in the garage, the search for my next dream car officially began. I called every dealer I knew and told them to send me options, Porsche, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz… whatever they had. Somehow, the search came down to three completely different cars: a manual Lamborghini Gallardo, a legendary Mercedes-Benz 500E, and an incredibly unique Porsche 944 Turbo S.

Instead, I found something that completely changed the plan: a Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition, one of just 1,963 examples produced to celebrate 50 years of the Porsche 911. Naturally aspirated flat-six. Manual transmission. Rear-wheel drive. Wide-body styling. Heritage details everywhere. It represents so much of what made me fall in love with Porsche in the first place, while still being a car I can actually get out and drive.

But there’s one problem… I still can’t stop thinking about that Porsche 944 Turbo S. So maybe replacing the GT3 Touring isn’t about finding one dream Porsche after all. Maybe we’re building something much bigger. Welcome to the next chapter!
